The Highland Dance Playlists You Need for Powerful Practicing

Motivational Music for Highland Dancers

As Highland dancers, we can all understand the struggle of listening to constant bagpipes. Sometimes, when you’re trying to nail a particularly hard step or dance (backstep and travel… enough said), the voice you really need to hear to get you through is Doja Cat.

Sorry, Glen Sinclair. We love you, but bagpipes simply can’t hit like Kiss Me More.

In our previous blog post, several of our dance family members mentioned how valuable practicing to non-bagpipe music is for them.

Saorsa Studio manager, Kate, (the person who writes most of these lovely blog posts! (Hi!!)) has put together playlists of some of our favourite dance songs, sorted into tempos for the different dances.

And, for all of our fellow instructor friends who don’t want to always teach to bagpipes, all of the playlists feature clean versions only!

Download the Playlists!

All you need to listen to these playlists is a Spotify account.

Non-premium accounts will work to listen to the playlists, but the ability to download them and listen without an internet connection is only available for premium users.

Simply follow the links below, and start using our playlists in your practices and classes!

We’re also always open to suggestions! If you have a favourite song to dance to, let us know so we can add it to the list! Message us on Instagram (@saorsastudiofredericton) or through the form below.

Happy Practicing!

We hope these playlists bring you lots of motivation and some spring in your step as you head into your next practice.

We’ll keep these playlists updated as we come across new songs that work, so you can expect some new material every once and a while.
