Saorsa Studio Fredericton Has Grown!
Saorsa Studio began in 2013 as the Nicole Odo School of Highland Dance. Throughout the years, Nicole has occupied several different studio spaces throughout Fredericton (even a parking lot during the pandemic!)
In summer of 2021, we moved into our beautiful Northside studio. Peppercreek Plaza has been a great home to us, and it has allowed us the space for our dance programming to blossom and grow.
Fall 2023 marks a new phase of Saorsa Studio, with the opening of our Southside studio location in the Charlotte Street Arts Centre!
Fun fact, the Charlotte Street Arts Centre is where Saorsa instructor and studio manager, Kate, took her very first highland dance lessons! (with a different instructor – Nicole was too busy making her way through middle school at that point)
We’re thrilled to join the Charlotte Streets Arts Centre community, and host our classes in a beautiful and historic studio. The Centre lives in a building originally constructed in 1884 as the Charlotte Street School. Our studio space spent decades as a schoolroom and gymnasium, until the building was restored and became the Charlotte Street Arts Centre in 2005.
Saorsa Studio Fredericton Highland Dance Offerings
The 2023-24 Saorsa Studio dance year will see classes held in both our new Southside location AND our home on the Northside. Most of our competitive programs are sticking to the Northside, while our most family-friendly offerings have options on BOTH sides of the river. Classes at Saorsa Studio South AND North start September 5th!
