What to Give
At Saorsa Studio, we have exciting programs starting up all the time! Many of these classes currently have open spaces – check out what’s right for you!
When demand is high, we listen – more classes can be added when needed!
Small and Tall Highland – Ages 1-3 + Guardian
This class is designed for a child and a guardian to move together! This creates a unique opportunity for bonding alongside learning and fun.
These classes are upbeat, exciting, and a fabulous introduction to the foundations Highland dance. From positions to foundational skills such hopping and skipping. These class also focus on imagination, improvisation, and how movement and play work together.
This class is recreational and runs for 12 weeks.

Highland Hoppers – Ages 2-3
This class is designed to introduce the youngest dancers to the environment of an instructor-led dance class while having fun, exploring their creativity, and learning the fundamentals of Scottish Highland Dance. Learning and growing through play is at the core of this introductory class!
Guardians do not accompany dancers in this class. It is recreational and runs for 12 weeks.

Tartan Teddies – Ages 3+4
This class is designed to introduce children ages 3-4 to the basics of Highland dance while becoming accustomed to the instructor-led classroom dynamic.
Dancers learn basic positions, steps, and dances while having fun and exploring their creativity. Learning and growing through play is at the core of this class!
This class is recreational and there are options for a full semester or a 12-week basis.

Tartan Tots – Ages 5-6
This class is designed to introduce children ages 5-6 to the basics of Highland dance while becoming accustomed to the instructor-led classroom dynamic.
Dancers learn basic positions, steps, and dances while having fun and exploring their creativity. Learning and growing through play is at the core of this class!
This class is recreational (though students of this age have the opportunity to compete) and runs on a full-semester basis.

Bouncing Bonnies – Ages 7+
This class is designed to introduce new dancers to the basic movements, steps, and dances of Highland dance. It is intended for dancers ages 7+ with no Highland dance experience.
This class is recreational (though students of this age have the opportunity to compete), and runs on a full-semester basis.

Beginner Highland for Adults
This class is designed to introduce adults with any level of dance experience to the foundations of Highland dance.
If you’ve been looking for an adult dance class, where you can get active in a comfortable and supportive environment, then this class is for you!
This class is recreational and runs for 12 weeks.

Retired Highland Dancer – Adult
This class is designed for retired Highland dancers or adults with Highland dance experience who want to get back into the studio!
We strive for a relaxed environment where dancers can find joy in putting their ghillies back on, and can find camaraderie in a group of accepting peers.
This class is recreational and runs for 12 weeks.
